Downtown Lee's Summit has free, high-speed, wireless internet access through WiFi Lee's Summit.

Users within the coverage area can connect to Wi-Fi Lee's Summit by choosing the SSID LSWiFi from their computer's list of available wireless networks. Wi-Fi Lee's Summit provides each user two hours of free internet connection per day. Coverage extends from SE Jefferson Street to SE Green Street and SE 2nd Street to SE 5th Street.

Wi-Fi Lee's Summit was created and funded through a partnership between Downtown Lee's Summit Main Street, Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council and the City of Lee’s Summit.  Grant funding was also provided to help get the project started through the Truman Heartland Community Foundation.  Internet services are provided through a partnership with Time Warner Cable of Kansas City.
